The Masjid has been serving the surrounding community of Moseley for over 30 years . With the construction project now nearing completion the range of facilities and services on offer include:
Prayer Facility
The existing building boasted a prayer capacity of 500 people. This at the time exceeded the needs of the community however as more and more people started attended the Masjid we were unable to adequately accommodate worshippers in particular during Salat al-Jumu’ah (Friday congregation prayer) and the twice-yearly Eid festival prayers. On these occasions members of the congregation were forced to pray unprotected from the elements in the car park.
The new Masjid is now able to accommodate a congregation of just over 2000 worshipers.
Since it was first established, the Masjid has always been an institution of education and learning. In keeping with these traditions, Masjid Hamza continues to provide a range of educational programmes to meet the needs of the local population. In particular, an evening madrassa caters for the teaching of the Qur\'an to young people and an Urdu language school is also run on weekends.
The Majid plans to use the new facilities to setup a new Education centre which will be named Taleem-ul-Qur\'an which will insha-allah fulfill the needs of the next generation.
The Masjid serves as a natural community centre for Muslims. For this purpose, Masjid Hamza has a Day Centre that acts a meeting point for the elderly in the community. Here they may socialise and enjoy the company of people of all ages and backgrounds. Free newspapers and periodicals are provided and there is a fully stocked kitchenette to serve their refreshment needs.
The centre also offers bereavement counselling, and a suitable venue for people to offer their prayers for the deceased and their condolences to the family.

The function hall in the basement of the new Masjid comes fully equipped with a commercial kitchen, walk-in fridge and store rooms. The hall is able to seat 250 people and can be used for Wedding Ceromonies, Aqeeqa and much more. Please

With a focus on teaching and learning the Masjid has also provided facilities to allow the local scholars to offer islamic lectures. The hall has its own fully equipped kitchen and dining area .
